Incheon National University ranked 13th in the world in the 2024 WURI ranking.
The World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) ranking is an authoritative evaluation that evaluates the innovation of universities around the world, and Incheon National University has further solidified its status on the global stage, rising five notches from last year. It is ranked the highest among domestic universities.
The Korea Institute of International Competitiveness announced the results of the 2024 WURI rankings on the evening of the 7th (Korea Standard Time). The WURI rankings select the best innovation cases of universities in the world up to 50th in 13 categories, and based on the rankings, the overall ranking of universities up to 100th will be determined. The top spot in the 2024 evaluation was the University of Minerva in the United States, followed by Arizona State University and MIT in second and third place, respectively.
This year's WURI rankings involved 1072 universities from around the world, with evaluations spanning the following 13 categories.

Incheon National University took a big leap forward in the overall ranking, ranking 9th in the world in industrial application, 10th in crisis management, 15th in student exchange and openness, and 13th in the 4th Industrial Revolution, respectively.
"Incheon University is doing its best to be at the forefront of innovation in education and research," said Park Jong-tae, president of Incheon National University. "This achievement is the result of the efforts of all Incheon National University members."
President Park also added, "Incheon University plans to expand the system for students to design their majors on their own, and introduce a convergence major policy that breaks down barriers between disciplines, so that students can design their careers and majors on their own."
Among domestic universities, Incheon National University (13th), Seoul National University (16th), Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (27th), Hanbat University (64th), Chungbuk National University (68th), Cheongwoon University (77th), Ajou University (85th), and Seoul National University of the Arts (88th) were included in the top 100.
